Amazon Ads
Connect Amazon Ads and Seller Central to bring in Sponsored Products, Brands and Display performance, plus the orders, returns and inventory behind them.
The Amazon connection has two sides. Amazon Ads gives Meerkats your Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Display campaigns with daily performance, search terms and placements. Seller Central gives it the retail side: orders, returns, settlements and FBA inventory.
Together they let Meerkats compute ACOS and TACOS from the same ledger, spot ad spend running against out-of-stock ASINs, and reconcile what Amazon charged with what it reported.
| How it connects | Sign in and approve |
| Reads | Portfolios and campaigns, Ad groups, product ads, Keywords, targets and negatives, Sponsored Brands creatives, Budget rules, Daily reports, Listings, Orders, returns, settlements, FBA inventory, Change history |

| Refresh | On your plan's schedule, plus Resync anytime |
Before you start#
- An Amazon Ads account (advertiser profile) and a Seller Central or Vendor Central account for the same marketplace.
- A login that is an Admin on the Ads account. Seller Central needs a user with permission to authorize apps.
- The marketplace you sell in (for example amazon.in). Each marketplace is connected separately.
Permissions#
Amazon Ads asks you to approve these permissions. Each one is listed with why Meerkats needs it.
| Permission | Why Meerkats needs it |
|---|---|
advertising::campaign_management | Read campaigns, ad groups, keywords, targets and reports; make changes you approve |
SP-API: Orders | Read marketplace orders (organic and ad-attributed) |
SP-API: Inventory and Order Tracking | Read FBA and seller-fulfilled stock |
SP-API: Finance and Accounting | Read settlement reports and fees |
SP-API: Product Listing | Read SKU, ASIN, title, price, buy-box price and listing status |
Connect#
1. Connect Amazon#
- Open Integrations
In the sidebar, select Integrations.
- Choose Amazon
Find Amazon under Available connectors and select Connect.
- Sign in with Login with Amazon
Approve access for Amazon Ads, then pick the advertiser profile and marketplace.
- Authorize Seller Central
When prompted, sign in to Seller Central and authorize the Meerkats app. This adds orders, returns, settlements and inventory.
2. Run the first sync#
- Resync
Go to Data Hub › Bronze Layer, pick Amazon and select Resync.
- Wait for Amazon's reports
Amazon builds reports asynchronously. The first sync requests them and can take up to an hour. Sync History shows progress.
- Check Product Revenue
Open Reports and Charts › Product Revenue and choose Amazon to confirm per-product revenue is flowing.
What syncs#
| Amazon Ads | In Meerkats |
|---|---|
| Portfolios and campaigns | Ad product (SP, SB, SD), status, budget and type, bidding strategy, placement bid adjustments, schedule |
| Ad groups, product ads | Default bids, advertised SKU or ASIN, status |
| Keywords, targets and negatives | Text or targeting expression, match type, bid, status; negative keywords and targets at every level |
| Sponsored Brands creatives | Brand name, logo, headline, store page or video |
| Budget rules | Schedule or event triggers and adjustment percentages |
| Daily reports | Campaign, ad group, targeting, search term, advertised product, purchased product, placement and audience reports, in 1, 7, 14 and 30-day attribution windows |
| Listings | SKU to ASIN, title, brand, category, price, buy-box price, FBA and FBM stock, listing status (snapshotted each sync) |
| Orders, returns, settlements | Every marketplace order line, returns and refunds, settlement fee lines (referral, FBA, storage, ad charges) and deposits |
| FBA inventory | Sellable, reserved, inbound, unfulfillable and aged units per ASIN |
| Change history | Budget, bid, status and keyword changes (Amazon keeps about 90 days; Meerkats keeps them) |
Raw data lands in Data Hub › Bronze Layer. Modelled tables, with metrics defined once, are in Data Hub › Gold Layer. Every number in a report or an agent’s answer comes from a query on these tables, never from the model’s own arithmetic.

How often it syncs#
Meerkats syncs on your plan's schedule: daily on Free, hourly on the $49 plan, every 30 minutes on $149 and every 15 minutes on $399. You can run a sync at any time with Resync in Data Hub › Bronze Layer.
- Amazon attributes sales in windows (1, 7, 14 and 30 days). Reports default to the 7-day window; pick another per report.
- Amazon restates up to 14 days back as attribution settles. Each sync re-imports that window.
- Settlement reports arrive on Amazon's settlement cycle (usually every two weeks), so fee-level margin lags orders.
What Meerkats can change#
In every connected tool, Meerkats can create, read, update and delete records, within the permissions you grant and the permissions the tool allows. These are the changes it proposes for Amazon Ads, and the limit that applies to each.
| Change | Limit |
|---|---|
| Pause or enable a campaign, ad group, keyword or target | Medium risk: always proposed for approval |
| Lower a budget or bid | Budget up to 20%, bid up to 15% per change |
| Raise a budget | Up to 50% per week per campaign |
| Add negative keywords or targets | Low risk: can run on its own once you allow it |
| Create a campaign, ad group, keywords or targets | Created paused; a second approval switches it on |
| Price or stock changes | Staged as a task for the owner of the listing, never made directly |
How every change is governed
Every change starts as a proposal in your Inbox. Nothing changes in the connected tool until a person approves it, unless you set that rule to act on its own.
Before it runs an approved change, Meerkats re-reads the live value. If the value moved since the proposal, it asks again instead of acting on stale data.
Meerkats stores the value it replaced, so every change can be undone from Agents run history.
Anything Meerkats creates starts paused. Switching it on is a second, separate approval.
Example automations#
Type any of these on the New automation page (Automation Agents › + New Agent).
- “Pause Sponsored Products targets with over 50 clicks and no orders in 14 days, after I approve”
- “Alert me when an advertised ASIN drops below 7 days of cover”
- “Send a weekly email of search terms with ACOS under 15% that aren't exact-match keywords yet”
Troubleshooting#
Ads connected but no orders or inventory
The Seller Central authorization is separate. Open Integrations, select Connect on Amazon again and complete the Seller Central step.
Sales in Meerkats are lower than in the Ads console
Compare the same attribution window. The console often shows 14 or 30-day sales; Meerkats reports default to 7-day.
The first sync has been running for a long time
Amazon generates reports in the background and large accounts take up to an hour. If Sync History shows a failed run, select Resync.
I sell in two marketplaces
Connect each marketplace as its own connection. Reports keep them separate; cross-platform views add them up in your workspace currency.
