TikTok Ads
Connect TikTok Ads Manager to bring in campaign, ad group and ad performance, creatives and conversions.
The TikTok Ads connection imports your campaigns, ad groups, ads and creatives from TikTok Ads Manager with daily performance, audience breakdowns and video metrics. If you use the TikTok Pixel or Events API, conversions come through too.
TikTok click IDs (ttclid) on your orders let Meerkats match TikTok clicks to real sales when a store is connected.
| How it connects | Sign in and approve |
| Reads | Campaigns, ad groups, ads, Creatives, Daily reports, Pixel and events, Account |
| Can change | Pause or enable a campaign, ad group or ad; Lower a budget; Raise a budget; Change a bid; Create a campaign or ad group |
| Refresh | On your plan's schedule, plus Resync anytime |
Before you start#
- A TikTok for Business account with Admin or Operator access to the advertiser accounts you want to connect.
- The advertiser IDs you want to sync. A Business Center user can connect several at once.
Permissions#
TikTok Ads asks you to approve these permissions. Each one is listed with why Meerkats needs it.
| Permission | Why Meerkats needs it |
|---|---|
Ad Account Management | List advertiser accounts and read account settings |
Ads Management | Read campaigns, ad groups and ads; make changes you approve |
Reporting | Read performance reports and breakdowns |
Creative Management | Read creatives, videos and images |
Connect#
1. Connect TikTok Ads#
- Open Integrations
In the sidebar, select Integrations.
- Choose TikTok Ads
Find TikTok Ads and select Connect.
- Approve in TikTok for Business
Sign in, pick the Business Center, and approve the permissions above.
- Pick the advertiser accounts
Tick the accounts to sync, then run Resync in Data Hub › Bronze Layer.
What syncs#
| TikTok Ads | In Meerkats |
|---|---|
| Campaigns, ad groups, ads | Objective, status, budget and type, bidding, optimization goal, placements, targeting, schedule |
| Creatives | Video or image, text, call to action, landing URL |
| Daily reports | By day with breakdowns: age, gender, country, placement, device; video metrics (2s, 6s, complete views) |
| Pixel and events | Configured events and conversions by event |
| Account | Currency, time zone, status |
Raw data lands in Data Hub › Bronze Layer. Modelled tables, with metrics defined once, are in Data Hub › Gold Layer. Every number in a report or an agent’s answer comes from a query on these tables, never from the model’s own arithmetic.
Metrics you get#
The metrics people ask for most, named as TikTok Ads names them. The full list, with each definition, is in the metric catalog.

How often it syncs#
Meerkats syncs on your plan's schedule: daily on Free, hourly on the $49 plan, every 30 minutes on $149 and every 15 minutes on $399. You can run a sync at any time with Resync in Data Hub › Bronze Layer.
- TikTok reports in the advertiser's time zone and currency; Meerkats keeps both.
- Attribution follows the account's click and view windows. Corrected ROAS uses your own orders.
What Meerkats can change#
In every connected tool, Meerkats can create, read, update and delete records, within the permissions you grant and the permissions the tool allows. These are the changes it proposes for TikTok Ads, and the limit that applies to each.
| Change | Limit |
|---|---|
| Pause or enable a campaign, ad group or ad | Medium risk: always proposed for approval |
| Lower a budget | Up to 20% per change |
| Raise a budget | Up to 50% per week |
| Change a bid | Up to 15% per change |
| Create a campaign or ad group | Created paused; a second approval switches it on |
How every change is governed
Every change starts as a proposal in your Inbox. Nothing changes in the connected tool until a person approves it, unless you set that rule to act on its own.
Before it runs an approved change, Meerkats re-reads the live value. If the value moved since the proposal, it asks again instead of acting on stale data.
Meerkats stores the value it replaced, so every change can be undone from Agents run history.
Anything Meerkats creates starts paused. Switching it on is a second, separate approval.
Example automations#
Type any of these on the New automation page (Automation Agents › + New Agent).
- “Alert me when a TikTok ad's CTR falls below 0.5% for two days”
- “Pause TikTok ad groups with cost per conversion over $25 for three days, after approval”
Troubleshooting#
