People and roles
Invite teammates, choose Read Only or Read & Write, and see what each level can do.
Access in Meerkats is per workspace. You share a workspace with a person and choose what they can do there: Read Only or Read & Write. The person who owns the workspace can do everything, including sharing it. There are no seat fees: invite as many people as you need on any plan.

- Read Only - Can view but not edit. For people who need the numbers and the evidence but shouldn’t change anything: finance, a client, a new teammate.
- Read & Write - Can view and edit. For people who run the work: approve proposals, build agents, connect tools.
- Owner. The account that created the workspace. Also the only level that shares it and can delete it.
Approvals need Read & Write
Anyone who approves a change in the Inbox needs Read & Write. The decision is recorded against that person in Agents run history and the workspace Activity log. Read Only users see the Inbox and the evidence, without the buttons.Invite someone#
- Open the workspace's share page
Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Workspaces, then the share icon (two people) on the workspace. The page is titled Share “<workspace>”.
- Add email addresses
Under Add People, enter one or more addresses, separated by commas.
- Choose the access level
Pick Read Only - Can view but not edit or Read & Write - Can view and edit. The level applies to everyone in this invitation; send separate invitations for different levels.
- Share
Select Share Workspace. Each person gets an email. Those without a Meerkats account create one with that email; the workspace is waiting when they sign in.
Change or remove access#
On the same page, Shared With lists everyone with access. Change a person’s level from the dropdown next to their name, or remove them. Removal is immediate: their open sessions lose the workspace on their next request. Proposals they approved and agents they built stay, with their name on the record.
Give someone access to several workspaces#
Sharing is per workspace. To give a teammate three brands, share each brand’s workspace with them, at whatever level fits each. The Workspaces page shows them every workspace they can reach, with Shared as the type and their access in the last column.
Your own account#
Account in your account menu holds your name and email (Email cannot be changed; it is your login) and Subscriptions. Billing opens Plans & credits: your plan, credit balance, usage limits and invoices. Billing is per account, not per workspace. Log out signs you out everywhere.
Sign-in and single sign-on#
People sign in with email and password at app.meerkats.ai; Forgot password? on the sign-in page sends a one-hour, single-use reset link. On the $399 plan, single sign-on (SAML or OIDC) lets your team sign in with your identity provider and removes access when someone leaves it. Apps you build on Meerkats sign in their own users through the API, with your branding.
What the Activity log records#
Every access change is logged on the workspace, with who did it and when:
- Who was invited, at what level, by whom.
- Level changes and removals.
- Every sign-in and API call that touched the workspace.
Filter the log by Access & sharing to see only these. See Governance and audit.
Troubleshooting#
The invitation didn't arrive
Check spam, and that the address is spelled right under Shared With. Remove and re-add to resend.
A teammate sees the workspace but can't approve
They have Read Only. Change their level to Read & Write on the share page.
I shared with the wrong person
Remove them under Shared With. Access ends immediately. The Activity log keeps the record.
Someone left the company
Remove them from every workspace they were shared on. With single sign-on, removing them from your identity provider does this in one step.
